The FTX-SLB group is looking continuously for excellent Bachelor, Master and PhD students. DESY collaborates with the University of Hamburg and other universities in Germany and abroad, from which you will obtain your degree. We offer theses on topics ranging from the physics case of future e+e- colliders - including the optimisation of certain detector aspects or the development of new reconstruction methods - to detector development and simulations for the LUXE experiment as well as for the measurement of the polarisation of electron (positron) beams. PhD students are offered the option to combine detector development work, also in other areas of FTX, with a physics case study. Below we list a few example topics from the areas of Higgs and Beyond the SM Physics, as well as for Polarimetry and LUXE.
